Faculty Bio

Christie McKaskle

Bio: Christie McKaskle is the author of Accepting Your Resurrection, to be released by the Jodere Group of San Diego in 2006. She has led workshops in “Journaling Your Resurrection” and is delighted to practice The Art of Authenticity with Elisa Negroni and Wendy Behr.

Born in Birmingham and raised all over Alabama, Christie moved to Memphis to accept scholarships and grants to Rhodes College, where she graduated cum laude in Psychology in 1986. Tennessee became her permanent home, and she has lived in Nashville for four years.

Although her adolescence almost convinced her that she’d never meet anyone suitable, Christie has been blessed in marriage to Mike McKaskle for 18 years (and they’ve been dating each other for 19 years). As both a writer and mother of two teenaged daughters, she is a contributor to “Daughters” magazine, as well as an active participant in the magazine’s online forum.

Christie celebrated her 40th year by launching her freelance writing and editing business in 2004. She spent two years before that as manager of a Unity Bookstore while writing part time. She is now a volunteer Unity Chaplain. Many years as a social worker, friend, and stay-at-home mom feed her writing and workshops. Whether writing or facilitating, Christie is a gentle yet fervent champion for the truth of who we are.

Christie co-facilitates The Art Of Authenticity with Elisa Negroni and Christie McKaskle.
