Mario E. Martinez, Psy.D.

Dr. Martinez is a US clinical psychologist, who specializes in how cultural and spiritual beliefs affect health and longevity. His theory of biocognition is based on research in the fields of psychoneuroimmunology (mind-body communication) and medical anthropology (how cultural beliefs affect disease). He lectures worldwide on his theory and practice of Biocognition, and is the founder of the Institute of Biocognitive Psychology in the United States.
He has published numerous professional articles on Biocognitive theory. In his new psychological novel “The Man from Autumn”, he explores how biocognitive science and the wisdom of Christian theologian mystics can converge to understand psycho-spiritual conflicts that affect health. Dr. Martinez has investigated alleged cases of Stigmata for the Catholic Church.

Janice provides shamanic healing, energetic healing work, and spiritual counseling to provide clients with an integrated approach to spiritual healing and well-being.
Janice founded Antara Foundation, a progressive healing community, in 2002 in Nashville, Tennessee. She offers individual and group instruction in Reiki (Energetic Healing), Medicine for the Earth, shamanic journeying, and other spiritual-guided teachings. She also provides individual healing and spiritual counseling sessions.
As a trained minister, she can perform weddings, house blessings and funerals. She is an Usui and Karuna® Reiki Master Teacher, receiving her training through Circle of Life Foundation in Irvine, California and lineage through William Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training.
She has trained with Sandra Ingerman as a Medicine for the Earth teacher, and is a charter member of the Society of Shamanic Practitioners...
