Antara Center News Online

February 2008

Dear Antara Supporters,

We had a wonderful weekend in the country at Nature Land Lodge in Lobelville, TN, this past weekend.  Many thanks to owner, Jim Scherer, and Marie Wallaker for making it a lovely place to receive Rites 5-9 of the Munay-Ki Rites.  We had 35 people participating, and it was an awesome weekend.  Some of you have written and asked about these rites.  So I’m going to share my story about them with you.  I learned about them from my friend and first teacher of spiritual ways, Carol Swim, when she called me in February, 2007, and told me about them and asked me to go to Joshua Tree, CA to receive them with her from the Inkan Shamans, or Laika,  of the Andes mountains in Peru.  These Rites have been held sacred by these Inkan Shamans for the last 30,000 years.  They received the last two rites in recent years, with the 9th rite, the God or Creator rite being gifted to them in July of 2006.  They were instructed by Spiritual guidance to release them to the people on the planet as soon as possible.  They had previously only given these rites to their protégés or students.  Dr. Alberto Villoldo of The Four Winds Society brought these rites and these Inkan shamans to the western world.

When Carol called, I couldn’t go, due to both parents being ill.  Carol went and told me that receiving them was a life-changing experience.  The next time they appeared in my life was in May when our family was in a crisis.  Carol was back here from California at the time, and was guided to give the first 2 to 3 rites to my Mom, my sister and me.  Within ten days, the crisis was settled and complete.  That got my attention.  I felt that Carol would come and give them to friends that heard about them and requested them, and when we talked she felt it would be better for me to bring the Rites to my community since the person giving them is responsible for mentoring the protégés that receive them until they have completed and integrated the rites.  That was in August.  I was planning to go on vacation with some girlfriends to northern California.  So when Carol and I spoke in early August about this, I sent a prayer out to let me know what I was to do with the rites.  Within 30 minutes, my friend Becky called about vacation plans, and said that she couldn’t get a hotel we needed in northern California, but had booked a nice place at Dana Point in Orange County, California.  I immediately called Carol, and she said Dana Point was only 20 minutes from her front door (which is really close in Orange County!).  So I knew I was to go to California to receive the rites and bring them back to the Nashville area.  I met Rosonna Taylor of Mayfield, KY, who Carol had also invited to come and receive the rites with me.  Carol knew that we would need each other’s support in getting these rites out to others here.

So I went and received the rites with Rosonna, and the last morning we were there we did a journey to the mystical realms and asked, “What are we to do with these rites?”  I was told to “be with the rites, and take them to your community.”  Then I saw me speaking to a large group about these rites.  I thought that it looked like First Sunday, a local Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) group that I attend.  I didn’t even write it down. The next morning while I was on my first day of vacation with friends, Linda Jones Ellis, the local group coordinator and friend from  IONS called and said, “I know you are on vacation, and I hate to bother you, but I keep getting the message that you are to speak about the Munay-Ki Rites that you’ve just received.”  So we set up for me to speak in early November, and I sent an email to those people that were interested.  We had 21 people show up for that first weekend of receiving the Foundation rites.  Then I was guided to start a weekly class which had nine people registered for it.  Then the next one was 26 people, then 28, and the numbers kept growing without advertising.  Now over 80 people in the Nashville area have received the rites, and they are spreading from this group to AZ, WI, KY, GA and middle, western and southeastern TN.

So what are these Rites?  First of all, Munay-Ki means “I Love You,” or “Be as Thou Art.”  They are energetic “seed” transmissions that work with the chakra (energy centers) of the body, releasing negative patterns and unhealed areas and filling it with luminous light.  These transmissions heal, but also help us to move from homo sapiens to homo luminous beings.  These Rites are simple, beautiful, sacred and very powerful.  My guiding criteria for anyone that is interested is to know that you are being pulled to it from a soul level, and then to read the information on the website:  www.munay-ki.org and also read Dr. Alberto Villoldo’s book, “The Four Insights:  Wisdom, Power, and Grace of the Earthkeepers,” (order from www.thefourwinds.com ) As you work with the rites and integrate them into your being, you will feel your life changing.  The first four rites are the Foundation Rites, the next three are Lineage Rites, and the last two are the Rites of the Time to Come. I laugh and say that the Rites found me, not the other way around. It has been an honor to stand in this lineage of Earthkeepers and make these rites available to our community.  A good friend asked me how one of the weekends went recently in giving the Rites, and I heard myself saying, “It was like a riding on a golden spiral, upwards and upwards.  This is real joy.”  The sense of community is tremendous when we gather to give/receive these Munay-Ki Rites.

So thank you to Carol, Linda, Becky, Rosonna, my family, and to all of you who have come to receive these Rites, and for all of you that are now giving them to others.  I am grateful to Dr. Villoldo and his work in bringing them here and to the Laika, the Inkan Earthkeepers, who have brought them to us at this time on our planet.  For more information, call me at 615.227.3008 or email me at Janice.Mickle@AntaraCenter.org  I will be speaking about the Munay-Ki Rites at Soup and Soul at Unity Church for Positive Living on Wednesday, March 12, at 6:15pm at 4319 Saundersville Road in Old Hickory, TN.  I will be holding a weekly class for nine weeks on Tuesday evenings, beginning Tuesday, March 18 at Antara Center.  I will also be holding a weekend gathering for the first four Foundation Rites on April 19/20 and Rites 5-9 on May 17/18.  Suggested donations for the weekly class are $10/person and $25/person for the weekend rites.
